I am honored to start my duties as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Caracas. It is a great honor and privilege for me to represent Türkiye in Venezuela.

Our Embassy in Caracas, which has opened its doors in 1957, is one of the first Embassies of Türkiye in Latin America.

The relations between Türkiye and Venezuela have been friendly and sincere throughout history. On the other hand, in recent years, they gained a significant and extraordinary momentum thanks to the excellent personal relations between our Presidents, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and H.E. Nicolás Maduro Moros. The level of cooperation between Türkiye and Venezuela is a great and concrete example of the irrelevance of geographical distances in the 21st century international relations.

Recent trends in our trade and commerce with Venezuela are also very promising for the future. Türkiye is among the top five trade partners of Venezuela. In the meantime, our cooperation also develops in many other fields including but not limited to education, culture, agriculture, fisheries, energy and tourism.

My goal during my term in Caracas, will be to further improve our bilateral relations and consolidate the historical friendship between our peoples, based on the mutual respect for the democratic institutions of our countries and the sovereignty of our peoples.
